I carried out the most amazing job recently for Chris and her Mum Zena. Chris booked a Mother and Daughter photo shoot. Her Mum Zena was diagnosed with the early stages of Alzheimer's, Chris wanted to do something special for her Mum. She treated her to a photo shoot at Zena's home in Coventry, this is a very special place for Chris as she grew up here as a little girl. The photo shoot was to captured the special place that is treasured by the family but also to capture photographs that hold a lot of memories to help Zena. I worked with Chris to create a plan of the memories that we could capture at her family home. When I arrived Zena was all dressed up for her photo shoot which was lovely to see. I captured them both next to the pond that was built by Chris's Dad who had passed away, I photographed Zena's wedding album and her book where she had stored all her past poems that were submitted to The Coventry Telegraph Newspaper many years ago. In each room we staged the photograph but they each hold a special memories for Zena. I made sure that each of the images contained memories for Zena to reflect on. I thought the photo shoot was such a wonderful idea, we ended the photo shoot with afternoon tea made by Chris and it was an honour to have joined them both. The final edited images Chris will use for a memory box for Zena to keep by her side. It is amazing how much photographs can help the memory especially people that are struggling with Alzheimer's.
